It is used in 100Mbps networks and belongs to the Super 5 category. It has low attenuation and crosstalk, higher attenuation to crosstalk ratio and signal-to-noise ratio, smaller delay error, and greatly improves performance. The maximum transmission rate for Category 5e cables is 250Mbps.
